Dear Parent/Guardian of a Perspective Senior:
In an effort to assist you with your senior picture planning, we are sending all Parents/Guardians of a perspective Senior, a guideline letter hoping to answer all questions you may have regarding senior portraits, baby/remember when pictures and recognition ads. In addition, your senior will be invited to join a Google Classroom Yearbook Class of 2027 group where updates will also be made throughout the year. Please pay attention to the dress requirements for both boys and girls.
Formal Senior Photo:
All seniors will be required to take their photo on Picture Day at school free of charge. This photo will be used for student IDs, Schooltool, and Smart Pass. In addition, this photo may also be used in the yearbook as the formal senior photo if dress requirements are met. Any student having photos taken by a professional photographer must submit one electronic file of the photo by October 30, 2026 to [email protected] or the Google Classroom group. The requirements for the formal yearbook photo are listed below.
- Photos must be standard portrait
- Headshot only
- No hands, hats or sunglasses
- Solid colored traditional background only (typically this is a bluish gray color) – NO BLACK OR WHITE BACKGROUNDS
- Sheets used as a backdrop are not permitted
- No nature scenes
- Girls – solid colored top (no distracting patterns) and conservative jewelry
- Boys – shirt and tie
Informal Senior Photos - In addition to the formal senior picture, we are asking students to also submit three less formal, individualized, senior pictures that we will showcase along with their baby picture. This gives the students who have several senior pictures taken the chance to include additional pictures in the yearbook. We will be including more pictures in this year’s yearbook of each senior so here is your chance to include some of your favorites.
Baby Photos:
Please submit one baby photo of your child by October 30, 2026. This photo can be brought to school to be scanned if an electronic version is not available. If an electronic version is available it can be submitted on the Google Classroom page or emailed to me.
Remember When Photos:
Please submit pictures of your child and their friends during their younger years. Elementary school pictures and events preceding high school make for the best Remember When photos. These photos can also be brought to school to be scanned if an electronic version is not available.
Again, senior pictures, remember when pictures and baby pictures will be due by October 30, 2026. Photos not meeting the requirements or the due date are not guaranteed to be included in the publication. The Yearbook has the right to refuse any picture not meeting the criteria specified.
HOW TO SUBMIT PHOTOS recap
All photos can be submitted in one of the following ways:
- Email to [email protected]
- Submit via the Yearbook 2027 group on Google Classroom
- Actual photos can be brought to Mrs. Smith to be scanned – please make sure your name is written on the back of the photo so it can be returned to you.
Recognition Ad for Seniors:

Families are able to purchase a “Recognition Ad” for the yearbook online at Jostens starting July 1, 2026. These ads are created by you, are full color and can include a message and photo or photos depending on the size of the ad purchased. Cost of Ads:
