Food Services

 Welcome!

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. The Federal child nutrition waivers that allowed all students access to free meals ended on June 30, 2022.  This means that Onondaga Central CSD will no longer be able to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2022-2023 school year.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

Families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals must complete a meal application (attached below) for the 2022-2023 school year and meet income qualifications in order to receive free meals.  Households who do not qualify will need to resume paying for breakfast and lunch.  The school district receives Federal and State funding based on the percentage of families who qualify. If your application is approved you may also be eligible for discounts from your internet provider, reduced testing fees, college application fees, etc.  Please complete the consent form to allow us to release this information as requested.

The program is HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL.  At the cash register, only Cafeteria Staff can see a student’s eligibility status.

Meal applications can be submitted online here

My School Bucks
My School Bucks (www.MySchoolBucks.com ) is a payment service that provides an easy way to add money to your student’s meal account. Students may purchase additional lunches or ala carte items using their lunch account.

We are looking forward to a healthy and nutritious year. The cafeteria team strives to provide your child with an enjoyable and healthy meal experience.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Emily Cullen MA, RD, CDN

MySchoolBucks Information

Letter to Parent/Guardian with Additional Information about MySchoolBucks

The MySchoolBucks website provides parents the ability to view your child’s account balance.

From that site you will create your account and add money to your child’s school meal account. All you need is your child’s name, student ID number and school ZIP code. The student ID number is not the same as your child’s PIN number that they use in the cafeteria. The number you need is found (at the secondary level) on their schedule and report card.  At the elementary level, please contact your child’s school for a student ID number.

At the elementary level, if they need their id number, they need to get that from their school office.

If you have any questions about these services, please feel free to contact the Food Services Department at 315-487-4661. Click on the MySchoolBucks logo to access your MySchoolBucks account.

Please be aware that MySchoolBucks is an independent entity that provides this service to West Genesee. MySchoolBucks collects a service charge for deposits made through their website.  Also, the maximum deposit for any one child is currently $120.00 online. We continue to work with MySchoolBucks in an effort to raise the maximum deposit amount allowed per transaction. There is not a service charge for deposits made directly at your child’s school building.
