OCS Physics Students Visit Cornell University’s Center for Nanofabrication
Students in the OCS college physics class recently had the opportunity to explore the world of nanotechnology during a visit to Cornell University on Friday, April 17.
Accompanied by Mr. Sharpsteen and Mrs. Tehan, students toured the Center for Nanofabrication and participated in hands-on experimentation while learning about the groundbreaking research taking place in the field of nanotechnology.
Throughout the visit, students discovered how nanotechnology is helping shape the future of medicine, information systems, nanorobotics, and medical treatment. The group also entered Cornell’s nanofabrication cleanroom, one of the best-equipped research and development cleanrooms in the nation, offering students a firsthand look at advanced scientific research environments.
Experiences like this showcase OCS’s dedication to providing meaningful educational opportunities that foster innovation, curiosity, and a passion for STEM learning.
