OCS Student Alex Crews Inducted into National Technical Honor Society
Onondaga Central School student Alex Crews was recognized for academic achievement, technical skill, and leadership as he was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a ceremony held at the SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College.
Crews, a Construction Technology Year 2 student, was among 155 students from 17 school districts honored during the ceremony.
To earn membership in NTHS, students must be recommended by their instructor, demonstrate academic excellence in their Career and Technical Education coursework, and exhibit strong attendance, leadership, and citizenship.
During the ceremony, students participated in a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony, took the NTHS oath, and received purple honor cords to wear at graduation in June as a symbol of their achievement.
The recognition reflects not only technical skill, but a commitment to scholarship, responsibility, and service.
Congratulations to Alex on representing OCS with pride.
