Marcellus/Onondaga Wrestling Captures First-Ever Section 3 Division 2 Dual Meet Championship

Marcellus/Onondaga Wrestling made program history on Saturday at Indian River High School, capturing the 2026 Section 3 Division 2 Dual Meet Championship — the first sectional title of its kind for the program.

MOW opened the day in dominant fashion with a 71–6 victory over Adirondack in the quarterfinals, followed by a 56–17 win over South Jefferson in the semifinals, and ultimately dethroning Sherburne-Earlville with a 55–24 victory in the championship match.

In total, 17 wrestlers across 14 weight classes contributed to the championship effort, showcasing the depth, talent, and teamwork that defined the team’s title run. The victory marks a major milestone for the program and a memorable achievement for the student-athletes and coaches alike.
