Wheeler Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School Students Impress at Annual Spelldown
Wheeler Elementary and Onondaga Jr./Sr. High School held its annual Spelldown competition on Dec. 4. Fourth- through sixth-grade students from Wheeler competed against one another, and the top four will advance to the regional qualifier in February. Seventh- and eighth-grade OCS students vied for their own spot in the top four.Sixth-grader Gabriella Abraham won Wheeler’s event, with Abel Connelly, Yurii Kyslyak, and Jayveon McBride taking the three other spots. Eighth-grader William Crysler won the junior high competition. Andrew Millet, Jannatul Meah, and Elias Chavarria will join Crysler at the Post-Standard regional qualifier in February.
