Onondaga Students Inducted to National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society

Sixteen Onondaga Jr./Sr. High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society during the chapter’s fall induction ceremony on November 10, 2025. Twenty-six students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

The Onondaga Central School District Chapters of National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) were established to recognize outstanding high school students. Student eligibility is based on her or his record of scholarship, leadership, character, and service at Onondaga Central School District and the communities served by the school district.

Students who demonstrate scholarship with an overall GPA of 92% or higher for 12 consecutive marking periods (2 years) are invited as candidates to join NHS and NJHS. Each member must complete 18 hours of service over 12 months to maintain their membership status in NHS and NJHS.
