The Library Collection
The Rockwell Library holds over 5,000 books. The library also subscribes to a number of magazines. Library materials are chosen to support the Rockwell curriculum, support literacy education, and to serve the interests of its students. To look at what is available, search the Rockwell Library online catalog.
There are many resources available to the students of Rockwell Elementary School.
Databases are available to use at school or from home. Note: Some of the databases are password protected. Please ask in the library for passwords and/or other information.
Access to the Library
All Rockwell students have weekly library time. Pre K library, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade all have library time for 40 minutes.
I also with our District Instructional Technology Instructor to offer coding, computer, and robotics lessons to students and staff.
Some students will also come to the library 2-5 times a week for WIN (what I need) lessons on literacy and comprehention.
Pre School checkes out books that are kept in the classroom for the week.
Kindergarten and first graders are allowed to take out one book at a time to bring home and share.
Second graders are allowed to take out two books at a time.
They may get another book when they return the one(s) they have.
