SAT I/ SAT II or ACT

You need to register to retake these exams by:

You can register either by mail or online
If you register by mail, forms are available in the Counseling Office.  Registration forms must be postmarked by the deadline date.

If you register on-line (www.collegeboard.com) or (www.actstudent.org), you will get an immediate confirmation, your registration number, and test center assignment.

Sat II Subject Tests: These are one-hour subject-specific tests.  Check the requirements of the colleges to which you are applying to see if you will need to take these tests.  Registration procedures are the same as those for the SAT I.
Onondaga Central High School's Code Number for SAT I, SAT II, and ACT is: 333-285

When registering, it is important that students remember to enter the correct high school code number so that Onondaga Central High School receives a copy of these test scores.

College Applications

SUNY applications can be obtained in our office.  You can apply to up to 7 SUNY colleges on this application @ $50/school

Be sure to do the following
  • Visit college representatives that come to our school
  • Schedule college visitations
  • Call a college you are interested in
  • Print an application off of the college’s website
  • Apply on-line

*Make sure you notify your counselor so that a high school transcript can be mailed.

NCAA Clearinghouse


If you plan to participate in the athletic programs at a Division I or II school, you must file a Clearinghouse form in the fall. These forms are available online @ www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. Print 2 copies of the form to release your school record and bring both to your counselor. Check with your counselor to be certain that you are taking the right courses to meet NCAA’s academic eligibility requirements

Letters of recommendation

If you want your counselor to write a recommendation for you, fill out online and print the Secondary School Record then give it to your counselor.  You must create an account to access the Secondary School Record.  Please allow 7-10 days for a letter to be written. 

If you will be asking others to write letter(s) for you, give them a stamped, addressed envelope addressed to the college’s admissions office.  Give your recommender ample time, 7-10 days, to write your letter.
