Mrs. Featherstone’s Class Celebrates Reading Challenge Success

Mrs. Featherstone’s second grade class recently celebrated their participation in the Syracuse Crunch “A Book Reading Challenge.” Since December, 17 students in the class read an impressive 586 books. Along the way, 16 students also learned to tie their shoes, and the class wrote their first research paper about hockey.

To celebrate their achievements, students enjoyed a visit from Syracuse Crunch representatives and Onondaga Jr./Sr. High School senior and hockey player David Pierce Jr. The celebration concluded with a well-earned ice cream party for the class.
